Silicon Valley, CA & Australia – Singer-songwriters Liz Aday and Allison2020 announce the release of their debut collaborative single, “Carry On,” arriving April 18, 2025, in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month. Rooted in vulnerability and rich vocal harmony, the track blends folk-pop instrumentation with lyrics that move between heartache, healing, and hope.

Written the day after the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Carry On began as emotional triage in a moment of cultural heartbreak. Over time, it grew into something deeper: a song for anyone navigating disillusionment, illness, or the weight of simply continuing forward.
“We wrote this song as a way to stay human in the face of heartbreak,” shares Allison2020. “Even though we wrote it after my cancer journey, the lyrics felt like they were meant for that version of me too. It was like sonic medicine I didn’t know I needed—a message to my past self that I now get to pass on.”
When the song was later selected for a children’s cancer charity album, its purpose expanded beyond its original intent.
“That’s when we realized it wasn’t just our story anymore,” the duo reflects. “It was everyone’s.”
Blending the soul of Muddy Magnolias, the strength of the Dixie Chicks, and the harmony-rich spirit of Indigo Girls, Carry On offers grounding and uplift in equal measure. Acoustic guitar and layered vocals create a soundscape that feels both timeless—and timely.
“This is a song for anyone who’s walked through fire and kept showing up,” says Liz Aday. “It’s our offering to the disillusioned, the outcast, and the hopeful.”
Carry On will be available on all major streaming platforms on April 18, 2025. A lyric video and behind-the-scenes materials will accompany the release.
